World Glaucoma Week – March 12-18

World Glaucoma Week is celebrated every year from March 12-18 to raise awareness about glaucoma, a group of eye diseases that can damage the optic nerve and lead to vision loss or blindness. The week is an initiative of the World Glaucoma Association and is supported by various eye care organizations around the world. The theme for World Glaucoma Week 2023 is “Beat Invisible Glaucoma” and aims to encourage people to get their eyes tested regularly to detect glaucoma early and prevent irreversible vision loss.
